Full transcript
History tells us sausage and peppers debuted at New York's Feast of San Gennaro in 1926. But history forgot one man. I have invented it. Cut those onions and peppers and cook those sausages. Nice going, Larry. Who wants to try my sausage and peppers? What are you doing? This is unbelievable. My dress! This is the most amazing meal I have ever had. Thank you, Larry. While it was a rough start for Larry, the people of New York loved his sausage and peppers and he became a hero. Thank you, Don Larry. As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster.

The Gauntlet
Larry signs up for a hardcore boot camp obstacle course to prove he's still got it — but halfway through the gauntlet, all he can think about is the sausage and peppers waiting at the finish line.
Quick answer
Is it cheaper to make your own Italian sausage?
Yes, usually. Pork shoulder runs $2.50 to $4 per pound versus $5 to $8 for store links, so homemade costs roughly half — about $3 per pound all in with spices and casings. A grinder attachment pays for itself after about 25 pounds.
