Sources & Kitchen Evidence
Good credit starts with knowing what kind of material you are quoting.
- Dialogue excerpt
- An exact passage from stored episode text. A named speaker and exact timestamp require a separate recording check; absence of those annotations must not be filled by inference.
- Scene summary
- A description of what happens, not words spoken by Larry or another character.
- Unreviewed episode text
- Existing text whose dialogue-versus-summary status has not yet been checked. Consult the recording before quoting it as speech.
- Editorial kitchen rule
- Written Larry-style guidance, not claimed verbatim episode dialogue.
- Written recipe
- Written recipe guidance, not a measured Test Kitchen result. Photos may illustrate the dish; they do not establish that a batch was tested. Only recorded experiments in the Test Kitchen count as measured comparisons.
- Researched fact
- A factual claim with an identifiable source, qualified where origins or associations are disputed. Research-based restaurant pages are not personal visit reports.
- Measured kitchen result
- An actually recorded experiment, with date, equipment, method and readings. Missing readings stay missing. A proposed test is not a result.
