League Night Kingpin
Larry shows up to the lanes in a fresh team shirt, briefcase in hand, and lets everyone assume what's inside. Spoiler: it's not a bowling ball — it's tonight's sausage and peppers, and league night will never be the same.
Quick answer
What can I use instead of San Marzano tomatoes?
Use any whole peeled plum tomato packed in juice, not puree — that is the real variable. Crush them by hand, and if they taste sharp, add a pinch of sugar or a grated carrot to the pot. Avoid diced tomatoes, which stay firm because of added calcium.
